FORMAL BOOK CLUBS: Local book clubs are good sources for free books. Books can be exchanged between readers through such book clubs, a system which enable the members to have free access to their favourite titles. Exchange of money or shipping charges are not involved in this process. Another type of book clubs is where a nominal membership fee will be levied. A set of books are available for the members, which are to be returned conveniently.

LIBRARIES: Libraries are good sources for reading books without paying for them. A large collection of valuable books will be at your disposal for a nominal membership fee.

FREE e-Books: For those who have accessibility to internet, the cheapest option is to read books on the internet. Thousands of titles are available, on free websites much to the delight of book lovers who have no problem in reading books from the computer monitor.

BOOK SALES FOR CHARITY: There are shops selling books at very low prices and utilizing the proceeds for charity. The book lovers while purchasing books from such shops at considerably low rates can have the satisfaction that the money spent on books are used for noble causes.
